wow, this piece has a really great emotion to it. it reminds me of an "inner-struggle" type-feel, and i think it's really cool how the same person is used to represent all the different aspects. wonderful job!
Another work dealing with the subject of aggression, or maybe auto-aggresion because it's part of your auto-portrait series (as art-spire describes them). It's easy to read too much into a picture, and in school, you often learn to overdo it by looking for biographical hints and connotations in an artists work, be it a poem or a picture.
Here we have the conflict between a peaceful reader who fell asleep, still wearing his glasses, though he got rid of his shirts and shoes to be more comfortable. He gets attacked and presumably killed by savage men, without being able to fight back, not that he successfully could, unarmed and bookish like he is. But his foes are instinctively wary about what hidden powers he might have. If he commands the time and the light, they assume that he also commands over powers which count in their world, powers of conflict, weaponry. This makes them cautious, makes them cowards and they hope to overcome him by surprise.
Why do they attack him. Not for his belongings, that's for sure, even though they marvel at them in the picture "Lost belongings", which can be seen as a follow-up to this work. If they just wanted his few goods, they could steal them while he's asleep. No, they want to attack him and what they see in him, someone different from them, a peaceful person, a reader, an enlightened human who commands over written words and technical gadgets like a watch, a lantern and a telescope(?). Their feral faces don't express greed for the goods, they express anger and rage at someone whom they cannot understand, at someone who unconsciously breached into their territory where not his, but their rules count.
RUN! They are going to kill you! I love this picture of thought of two thoughts. One he could be sleeping and going to get kill by other people Or He is dreaming he is imaging them..... What does it mean? I am curious....
